Jon Scheyer, once the ACC's youthful sensation, is now surpassed in youth by two newcomers. Luke Loucks, 35, a former player under Leonard Hamilton at Florida State, and Jai Lucas, 36, who served as Scheyer's assistant before taking the Miami job, are the new kids on the block. Bubas, who assisted at NC State, transformed Duke into a powerhouse, while Smith, after working as an assistant, built a dynasty at North Carolina. Both coaches achieved remarkable success, with Bubas making three Final Four appearances and Smith winning 11 times over.
